Qualified nurses that work with MS patients

On March 13, 2015 in the city of Sofia is held a training module „Qualified nurses that work with patients with multiple sclerosis.” The process of reforming healthcare, give new priorities to healthcare professionals.

The behavior towards the patient changes – he is no longer regarded just as a sick person, but as a person with its qualities, values and beliefs. Training module is held under the leadership of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology and aim to meet the educational needs of nurses who are interested in issues related to the process of optimizing care of MS patients. Trained nurses use the newly found information for their own professional development and for improvement of healthcare for MS patients. Within the training module is presented the information system SmartMS. The idea for a web-based information system that focuses on patients with MS and at the same time supports the work of medical professionals. This innovative system is accepted with interest by the trainee nurses. In the discussion after the presentation is talked about the problems related to the organization of healthcare for patients with MS and the appropriate way of taking their medications and therapy.
